BONS BAISERS DE LA COLONIE

In 1926 Suzanne was born to a male Belgian colonial official and a Rwandan woman. When she was four years of age her father put her on the boat to Belgium because he wanted her to get a European education. She became one of the many children described in the better milieus as “Mulatto children saved from a negro destiny”.
