Two women, from totally different cultures, share the same courage: they dare to change their destiny and break through cultural barriers for happiness. Miséria, an Angolan girl, meets Johnny, a Chinese citizen who came to Angola to build a road. Sofia comes to Angola with her husband Inácio, a former Angolan scholarship student in China, reluctantly leaving their child behind in China. What will the future bring for them? Or how a relationship between two countries, imposed by economic issues, has consequences on a human and personal level.
