Fahari Yetu - Zanzibar Saves Its Sea

Fishermen of the village of Ras Fumba on the island of Zanzibar noticed that the fish stock was drastically decreasing, due to overfishing and the use of poisons, dynamite and small mesh nets. With the help of their local government and international NGOs, they created Menai Bay Conservation Area. A beautiful example of environmental protection.
