What happened to the soldiers from the French colonies in North Africa who were drafted in the French army to liberate the ‘motherland’ from the nazi regime in World War II ? Ignored by history and humiliated by the nation they liberated, the last testimonies are now withering in a small room in the south of France, seperated from their families on the other side to the mediterranean so as not to lose a ridiculously insufficient pension.
