Les Beta Mbonda

Beta Mbonda is a Kinshasa-based band, made up of former members of violent youth street gangs, called 'kulunas'. They gave up their old way of life to pursue their passion for traditional Congolese music, a music genre that is about to disappear. They make their own instruments and play a typical Congolese repertoire. Music changed their lives, and today they try to change lifes in their neighborhood. One day, they dream to become well-known musicians.
