Teenagers Nizar and Ashraf set out with their herd in the Mghila Mountains, an isolated region in northwest Tunisia. As their animals graze carefree and the boys chat about their life, something terrible happens. The two friends are unexpectedly attacked by Jihadis and one of them is killed. The survivor is ordered to deliver a macabre message to his family. This commences a long and difficult coping process. 

‘Red Path’ is a dreamlike dive into the psyche of a child, based on a true story. This drama by Lotfi Achour had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival and won the Bayard d'Or for Best Film at the Namur FIFF.
