Muganga - Celui qui soigne

Doctor Denis Mukwege treats women who have been victims of sexual violence in conflict zones. Their bodies were used as weapons of war in the eastern regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo. At his hospital in Panzi, he meets Belgian doctor Guy Cadière, who will assist him in his difficult work. Together, they try—sometimes at the risk of their own lives—to heal the physical and mental trauma of their patients and restore their dignity.

Director Marie-Hélène Roux brings the intense and true story of a doctor in a war zone. Doctor Denis Mukwege won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 for his years of dedication to victims of sexual violence. The title ‘Muganga’ is Swahili for "the one who cares for or heals".
