Neneh is 12 and made for dancing. Her dream comes true when she is accepted into the Paris Ballet School. Despite her enthusiasm, she becomes very aware that she looks different, and has a different background from all the other dancers. She fights for acceptance in the group but also with the school's director, Marianne Bellage. Bellage guarantees tradition and is the bearer of a secret that connects her to the young ballerina.

A contemporary Billy Elliot, in which Oumy Bruni-Garrel shines as a very young and talented ballerina confronted with herself, her family, rigid institutions and the world she lives in.
