No Gold For Kalsaka
Spoken: French, Mooré. Subtitles: English.
Since the dawn of time, the people of Kalsaka, a small village in Burkina Faso, have lived off their land. All of this ended with the arrival of a multinational mining corporation, which expropriated local landowners and exploited the natural resources, leaving the local people with nothing. More than 18 tons of gold were excavated over a period of 6 years, bringing about an environmental disaster with social consequences. The inhabitants of Kalsaka are fighting to obtain compensation.
