The Letter

When his grandmother is accused of witchcraft, Karisa travels home from the city to her village to investigate the menace. It gradually emerges who sent the threatening letter and why. Karisa finds a frenzied mixture of economic greed and superstition which is turning hundreds of families against their elders, branding them as witches to take ownership of their ancestral land. A brave portrait that highlights how the values of rural communities have been disrupted by greed and religion.
