THE YACOUBIAN BUILDING

'The Yacoubian Building' tells us about a mythical building in Cairo and the politic evolution of Egyptian society in the last 50 years. From the fall of king Farouk's realm 'till the coming to power of the Muslim brethren. Constantly through the movie the question is asked: "How did we end up in a so called intolerant society, while we started from a modern free thinking one?"
